"Music changes, and I’m gonna change right along with it."

- Aretha Franklin

Erika Torres is a versatile, groove-oriented baritone saxophone player and vocalist with a variety of influences such as Ronnie Cuber, Fred Wesley, Ella Fitzgerald, Mariah Carey, Aretha Franklin, and more.

Based out of New Orleans, USA, her bright voice is distinct for its wide range, warm tone, and R&B influenced agility – paired with her abrasive, blues-dominated voice on the baritone. Erika has performed with a number of renowned groups in New Orleans and outside, from popular local acts such as The Love Muscles, her own band Erika Torres & Co., to playing in the Mid Europe Summer Music Festival in Schladming Austria.

Mentored by Grammy-award winning tenor saxophonist Jason Mingledorff, and 2017 winner of the Sarah Vaughan Vocal Competition, Quiana Lynell,  Erika credits her teachers for her technical skills, inspiration, and success in both the music scene and on YouTube.
